Natural gas is an affordable, reliable, and clean fuel that millions of Americans rely on to power their homes and businesses.
Natural gas appliances are three times as efficient as electric ones on a full fuel cycle basis because so much energy is lost when converting and transmitting electricity for use in the home. Direct use of natural gas in the home translates into lower energy bills for consumers, as well as emissions reductions.
APGA works with its members to evaluate how new federal legislative and regulatory proposals will impact direct use. We advocate for a fuel-neutral, “all of the above” approach to energy policy. Natural gas can deliver emissions reductions without sacrificing reliability and affordability for consumers.
