Position Description:
Due to a pending retirement, Watertown Municipal Utilities is seeking a Gas Superintendent. This full-time position oversees the daily operations of planning, design, construction, and maintenance to the city natural gas system.
The Gas Superintendent coordinates and serves as a liaison with staff, customers, consulting engineers, contractors, developers, other utility systems and governmental agencies in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of new and existing mains and lines. This position is also responsible for writing and maintaining the Operator Qualifications Plan, Integrity Management plans and the Operation and Maintenance Manuals to comply with state and federal codes and training employees to meet requirements of those plans and assists with the administration of the drug plan.
10 years certified journeyman natural gas experience and five years supervisory experience required. Engineering degree preferred.
