Stuart Saulters, Vice President of Government Relations

Stuart Saulters serves as APGA’s Vice President of Government Relations.  He joined the trade association in April 2019.  In his current role, Stuart manages APGA’s engagement in legislative and regulatory affairs aiming to advance the goals of public natural gas utilities.

Prior to joining APGA, Stuart served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the American Petroleum Institute (API).  He spent some time working pipeline safety issues for API members, mostly operating liquids transmission lines, and then, advocated for worker safety policies for refinery operators.  Before his time at API, Stuart was a Design and Facility Engineer for Chevron, spending time at their refinery in south Mississippi, as well as in the Pittsburgh office, where he supported their upstream assets in West Virginia, Ohio, and western Pennsylvania.  He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from Mississippi State University.  Stuart, his wife, daughter, and son live in DC’s Brookland neighborhood.
